I know. It’s everywhere. The farmhouse look may be a trend on its way out but I love the look. It fits in with our country/coastal/cottage style home. My Amazon kitchen wish list holds quite a bit of the farm style look. One of them is a white tin bread container that has BREAD etched in black across the front middle. You know the one I am describing, right? Well if I ever decide to purchase it, my little faux enamel kitchen tub container will be the perfect match.

It's spring and with spring it's time to prep and plant the garden. I do enjoy fresh vegetables and pretty flowers. What I don't enjoy is the cost of fancy containers or the battle with the slugs here on the Olympic Peninsula. So if there's a way where I can save money and make gardening a wee bit easier...I'm all for it. Hence this round-up of some pretty cool ways to re- purpose rain gutters into containers.
Make your own center piece for an outdoor table with umbrella. As projects go this one has to be one of the easiest ones I've taken on so far. The beauty of this is you can add flowers such as I did, or you can use this container for condiments, silverware, sunscreen, playing cards, etc.
