Have you ever completed something that just didn't quite sit with you? Like you liked it but eh.... This handmade sign was one of those. At the time I was looking for some color and something that added some character to our wall decor and didn't cost a small fortune. Valentine's Day is fast approaching and, as usual, I feel unprepared. Full disclosure, I am really not a red -n- pink heart, candy kinda gal. Don't get me wrong. I like flowers and chocolate (especially the dark kind), but the idea of Valentine outfit(s), perfume, a Hallmark card, expensive dinner, staged romance...STRESSES me out!

I'm not sure when I began to actually verbalize my master bedroom dream to Hubby. He's the kind of guy who is pretty darn content with the way things are. Each time I'd bring up an idea, he would poo-poo it. Tell me the room was fine...etc., etc. But you know, happy wife, happy life and all that. Poor guy.

So when I told him I wanted to buy four sheets of underlayment plywood for a plank wall, he raised his eyebrows, gave me the look... sighed, and said, "Okay".
